THE WAVE - CANOUANCES IN THE CITY CENTER OF AUGSBURG

The three artistic installations can be found when walking through the old town of Augsburg. Rods in a green-white pattern of stripes will guide onlookers from one installation to the next.
Station 1 is a plastic-wave with five movable arms. This plastic-tsunami rears up in front of Sankt Ursula Church and draws attention to plastic-waste ending up in our water. Station 2 is located in the Pfladergasse and focuses on the fast-fashion industry. Consisting of old clothes that are as good as new, the piece visualizes how a mulitude of resources are being wasted because of such clothes. Station 3 can be found in front of the Stadtmetzg, where stand-up displays educate on social inequality.
CANOUANCES
ART-INSTALLATIONS
The creators named their project CANOUANCES. In cooperation with the artist Stefan Kaindl and students of the University (of Applied Sciences) Augsburg, the open workshop Habitat Association contemplated the negative consequences of human action on the environment and society.
